A young bride escapes on her wedding day.

[ synopsis ; ] As the wedding ceremony unfolds, Fatima's heart races with fear and desperation. When her mother informs her that this is a custom that has been followed for centuries—the only way to reclaim her life is to forge her own path. When her mother encourages her to stop her brooding and come out of her bedroom-turned-bridal room, that is when Fatima decides to execute her daring plan to escape.

With the whole family caught up in the festivities, Fatima races against time, navigating through hallways to find her way out, that way out is the back-door for her, and with new found determination to forge her own path, escapes on time.

"Vani" is a short-film that shows the harsh realities young girls have to go through in order to please their families.
